Price:Polestarr. Jonathan Crouch’s New Novel

Great Chishill’s very own action and adventure novelist Jonathan Crouch, has done it again, producing an action-packed sequel to his debut novel – ‘Price: World’, which was published last year.

Price: Polestarr continues the adventures of Dr Adam Price and his friends as they take on an American business tycoon, hell-bent on using his new, Polestarr satellite project, to secretly take over the World, under the guise of collecting the first real-time global warming data.

Price is first alerted to the threat when climatologist, Dr Wednesday Week visits his ‘Chishill’ home
and reports her own studies cast grave doubt on the data being recorded by the Polestarr programme, but to what possible ends? So begins the dangerous and life-threatening pursuit of the deadly truth, which culminates in a final showdown at the top of the World – the North Pole.

Once again, Jonathan draws on his own childhood in the cornfields, footpaths and orchards of Great Chishill, and the adventures he shared with his imaginary friend. Jonathan says “I hope fans of the first novel will enjoy seeing their favourite characters in action again, plus the addition of some new faces, and of course a larger-than-life villain to be stopped!”.

“The message of global warming is a central theme and it’s perhaps fortunate timing, given the
current political events in the United States, that the villain is an American tech giant, although the
character and story line were written long before current events”.

There’s plenty of references to locations around the village, both from the ground and the air, which
local residents will enjoy spotting.

Price: Polestarr is available to purchase from Amazon in both e-book and paperback versions, and
