On Monday May 8th, just after the Coronation, communities all over the country did all sorts of voluntary work for the common good. Here in Great Chishill the PC organised a ‘Community Litter Pick and Hedgerow Audit’.
At 9.30 about 30 people including whole families turned up on the Plaistow, and armed with plastic bags and disposable gloves they set off in all directions in and around the village picking up all manner of rubbish. An hour later they were all back with the haul that you see in the pictures.
A great turnout and well done to everyone involved, but sad that so much was found.
