Television celebrity archaeologist Carenza Lewis will visit Great Chishill to give a free talk on local history and archaeology at St Swithun’s Church on 14th October, as part of the celebrations for the repair project of the church tower.
The village’s historic windmill renovation project has received a significant funding boost from Historic England, covering around 70% of the increased repair costs, allowing the completion of structural repairs and removal from the ‘Heritage at Risk’ listing.
