On Sunday March 25th (2018) a band of a dozen or so turned up at the URC to do something about the rubbish that is dumped in our highways and byways. Organised by Tess and Angus Gent, the URC supplied gloves, rubbish bags and litter pickup tools. In a couple of hours an enormous quantity of rubbish was collected, some on which is shown in this picture.

Apart from bits of cars there was a very large number of glass and plastic bottles and aluminium drinks cans. It would be nice to think that we will not need to do this again for a while….. Back at the URC a lovely tea had been laid on which helped to make it worth doing.
